Commercial Port of Vladivostok handled a record 7.7 million volume of cargo in the entire port history

Commercial Port of Vladivostok (part of the FESCO Transport Group) set an absolute handling record for the first 9 months of 2018, the port handled over 7.7 million tons of cargo of various nomenclature, that is 40% higher than the level of 9 months of 2017 + the port cargo turnover for the whole record year of 2017 (7.5 million tons).

Container turnover for 9 months of 2018 was increased by 15% over the same period last year, up to 393 thousand TEU, vehicles handling was increased by 74%, up to 43.7 thousand units, general cargo was increased by 77%, up to 3.8 million tons. The average monthly cargo volume for 9 months of 2018 was increased by 40% and reached 857.5 thousand tons per month.

Commercial Port of Vladivostok also systematically increases the speed of cargo handling: for three quarters of 2018, the port handled 1,881 ships (+ 18% compared to last year), 92,800 rail wagons (+ 49%), dispatched 819 container trains to various regions of Russia and countries of Central Asia and Kazakhstan (+ 33%).

In 2017, Commercial Port of Vladivostok set a record in cargo handling volume for the first time in its 120-year history, having processed 7.5 million tons of history. By the end of 2018, the Commercial Port of Vladivostok plans to reach a new record number of about 10 million tons.
